TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
We know the terrain and it's cultural. The Civic Culture Club is here to build from collective belonging to collective power. We're artists and cultural workers expanding civil resistance, lifting the strategic level of every campaign we touch, and sustaining the movements our communities need in service of a democratic culture for all seasons.

GoalsSUPPORT AND CONNECT THE TRICKSTERS / the artists and cultural workers making interventions this election season and beyond TO:
expand civil resistance
Bring more artists and cultural workers into strategic nonviolent action, from election integrity, safety, and voter participation to joyful public events and creative interventions. Support cultural work that opens new ways for more people to participate in civic and collective action. Research on civil resistance identifies broad and diverse participation, sustained engagement, and varied tactics as important features of effective movements.
strengthen movement strategy
Recognize artists and cultural workers as strategists, not window dressing. Bring their creative and strategic leadership into spaces where people are planning for election protection and safety, potential political violence or repression, and other scenarios that could require sustained nonviolent collective action. Research on civil resistance similarly emphasizes organization, strategic leadership, preparation, and tactical creativity alongside mass participation.
sustain the movement
Build the creative leadership, relationships, and capacity needed for collective action to continue beyond a single election or political moment. That means strengthening movements that can sustain participation through exhaustion, fear, normalization, repression, or political change, rather than treating Election Day as an endpoint. Research on movements under authoritarian pressure likewise emphasizes durable organizing infrastructure and the ability to sustain broad participation over time.
